On November 15, the Timberwolves played against the Kings at home in the NBA Cup. The Kings changed their lineup again and asked Schroeder to serve as the sixth man on the bench. The Timberwolves took the lead with the help of three players who scored 20+ points, leading the Kings by 19 points at most. In the end, the Timberwolves defeated the Kings 124-110 to win 4 consecutive games. The Kings suffered a 5-game losing streak. The Kings only had 3 wins and 10 losses in the new season.
