Bill wants to complete a buyout with the Suns and needs to cut his salary. If he becomes a free agent, the Bucks and the Heat will be interested

According to NBA reporter Evan Sidery, Bradley Bill is willing to cooperate with the Suns in potential buyout negotiations on their contract. However, Bill must accept a salary cut in order for the Suns to complete the buyout operation.

Bill's contract remaining amount exceeds $110 million, including player options for the 2026-27 season. If the buyout is completed, Bill will become an unrestricted free agent and can sign with the new team from July 6. The Milwaukee Bucks decided to sack Lillard, who had two years left in the contract with $112.5 million. According to ESPN reporter Bobby Max, the Bucks chose to "extend payment" Lillard's contract and will be counted to a dead salary of $22.5 million a year over the next five seasons.

Max noted that the total amount used by the team to extend the payment contract shall not exceed 15% of the annual salary cap. In the 2025-26 season, this cap is about $23.2 million. The Suns can't follow the Bucks' operations because they have set aside $3.8 million in dead wages for Little and Liddle's contract, leaving only about $19 million in extended payment space. If Bill’s remaining contract is extended in five years, he will have to bear about $22 million per year.

"The key is whether Bill is willing to take a portion of the 110 million. I think this is the biggest problem. But if the buyout is really reached, he must accept a salary cut, and he may need to get 12 million to 13 million less, or even more," said Max.

NBA reporter Marc Stein reported that if Bill enters the free market, the Bucks and the Heat are interested in signing him. The Suns have started rebuilding the lineup after trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets, and buying out Bill may pave the way for his subsequent operations.
