Superstars create new glory in Brazil

39-year-old Brazilian striker Hulk, the legendary star who plays for Atletico, recently set another record at home, scoring his 18th goal at the team's home Arena MRV Stadium. On the morning of August 15, Hulk scored the winning goal in the first leg of the South American Cup round of 16, helping Atletico Minero defeat Godo Iclus 2-1. This goal allowed him to surpass Paulinho (17 goals) who had previously tied with him, becoming the team's most goals in the history of the home court.

So far, the Brazilian striker has scored 130 goals in 263 games for Atletico Minero. He is currently ranked tenth in the club's all-time scorer list, only 3 goals less than the ninth-ranked Max (133 goals). The record of 255 goals by historical scorer Reynaldo is still regarded as an insurmountable peak.

Hulke also performed well in the intercontinental arena. In the 2025 season, he became Atletico's top scorer in the South American Cup with 3 goals (scoring Iquique, Bucaramanga and Godo Iclus respectively). The former Porto star has scored 19 goals in various intercontinental competitions, of which 16 are from the Copa Libertadores.
