Arsenal finalized new defender for 52 million euros, Kiviol is about to leave

Arsenal Club and Leverkusen reached an agreement on the loan deal for defender Pierro Hinkapier, with a total amount of up to 52 million euros. At the same time, the team's current defender Yakub Kiviol is about to transfer to Porto Club of the Portuguese Super League.

It is reported that the lease agreement includes buyout terms, but the specific details vary from party to party statement. According to The Athletic, Arsenal obtained a selective buyout right, while transfer expert Romano called the buyout clause mandatory. The initial rental fee for the transaction was 6 million euros and the buyout amount was 46 million euros.

Ecuadorian international Hinkapier, 23, is expected to arrive in London this weekend for a medical examination and sign a contract. He mainly plays as a central defender and has the combat experience of left-back, which will effectively enhance the depth of Arsenal's left-side defense line.

The signing is at the time of the team's lineup adjustment. Arsenal had signed Christian Moscrat as a central defender substitute, and Kiviol's transfer is also being advanced. The total price of his transfer to Porto can reach up to 27 million euros (including additional terms). In addition, the team's left-back Oleksand Zinchenko may also leave the team before the transfer window is closed, and the Ligue 1 Marseille club is in contact with him. Zinchenko had previously publicly expressed his disappointment in losing his main position.

Currently, Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta also has many optional players on the left defense, including rookie Miles Lewis-Ski and Italian international Ricardo Calafiori.
