Inter Miami official: Accepts Suarez s suspension decision and hopes to treat all teams equally
According to official news on November 6, Inter Miami Club issued a statement on the suspension of Luis Suarez. Inter Miami has received official notification from Major League Soccer (MLS) regarding the one-game suspension of player Luis Suarez due to his conduct during a match. The incident occurred during last Saturday's game against Nashville. The club hereby declares as follows: Inter Miami accepts and respects the decision made by the MLS Disciplinary Committee. At the same time, the club is concerned about re-referencing an action that has already been judged by the match officials and the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) and believes that the same standards will be consistently applied in any future matches and involving any team. TheAthletic previously reported that Inter Miami forward Suarez was suspended for one game by the MLS and he will miss the playoff G3 between Inter Miami and Nashville. Miami appealed but failed. In the G2 game between Inter Miami and Nashville, Suarez fouled without the ball in the 71st minute when he kicked Nashville SC defender Andy Nahar. At the time of the incident, the referee did not call a foul or show a yellow card.
