Amorin gives green light to Inelis to sign Arsenal to replace £47m loser
Ruben Amorin laughed at the pre-match press conference. It is reported that Ruben Amorin has "find" a replacement for his favorite Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, and Onana's "future is uncertain yet". Onana gradually declined in form in Old Trafford's first season. The Red Devils spent about £47 million to sign Onana from Serie A giants Inter Milan to replace David De Gea. De Gea left the Premier League giant after the 2022/23 season. Manchester United's current No. 1 goalkeeper overcame some bad performances last season, which made a strong impression, but he made mistakes more frequently this season and has been severely criticized for his performance. Ao Nang's poor form makes signing a new goalkeeper a priority for Manchester United this summer, and they are already linked with several potential replacements before the next transfer window. Earlier this week, reports were reported that Manchester United had “contacted” about the possibility of signing Espanyol star Joan Garcia, who also had connections with Arsenal. 23-year-old Garcia has performed well in La Liga this season, helping Espanyol get out of the relegation zone, with a £25 million termination clause in his contract. A new report from Spain says Amorin has “find” Onana’s successor, and Garcia is the “most convincing” option. The report explains: Amorin attaches particular importance to his ability to attack from the backcourt, his one-on-one agility and calmness under pressure, which he believes are crucial to his football vision. In addition, Garcia was almost selected for the Spanish national team on the previous national team roster, which further consolidated his prestige. Espanyol realizes that their goalkeeper has attracted interest and is considering signing him in the coming weeks to ensure a substantial selling price. Amorin has reportedly agreed to engage with other major European clubs that also pursue the young goalkeeper. Finding a new goalkeeper is just the first step in Amorin's hope to make a profound reform of Manchester. "After a mixed season, the Portuguese coach made it clear that he needed players who were focused, skilled and confident of winning. From this perspective, Juan Garcia represents a strategic positioning: young, ambitious, and able to adapt to the needs of English football."
