Alaves official: 32-year-old former Real Madrid scorer Mariano joins, and the two sides sign until 2027
August 7 Alaves officially announced that Dominican striker will join Mariano, and the two sides will sign the contract until 2027. Mariano is 32 years old and comes from Real Madrid's youth training system. In the 2016-17 season, he was promoted to Real Madrid's first team and scored five goals in 14 games. He then spent two seasons in Lyon and returned to Real Madrid, winning three La Liga titles, two Champions League titles, one King's Cup title, two Club World Cup titles, one European Super Cup title and two Spanish Super Cup titles. In the 2022-23 season, he transferred to Sevilla, where he participated in 13 competitions in various events. Mariano is fast, strong and has excellent shooting skills. He is not afraid of physical confrontation and is known for his heading ability.
