Nick Smith: I was taught not to foul in the Hornets, but now you have to be physical with the Lakers
On November 22, in the NBAG League regular season, the South Bay Lakers defeated the Santa Cruz Warriors 115-95. After the game, Nick Smith accepted an interview with reporters. Talking about his role on the defensive end, he said: "After coming to the Lakers, you have to play physical confrontation. I feel like when we were in the Charlotte Hornets, we seemed to be taught not to foul. Here we are not taught to foul, but you must show physical confrontation here. This is the focus of what he asked me to do." In this campaign, Nick Smith played 32 minutes, shooting 6 of 15, 4 of 9 three-pointers, 1 of 1 free throw, and scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
