Going for the second championship! Curry returns to the Lake Tahoe Celebrity Golf Championship this summer and won the championship in 2023

On May 28, according to Nevada Sportsnet reporter Chris Murray, Curry will participate in the Lake Tahoe Celebrity Golf Championship again after a year. Curry once made history in 2023, but was absent in 2024 for participating in the Paris Olympics.

As one of the NBA golf experts, Curry once won the Tahoe Lake Celebrity Golf Championship in 2023, becoming the first black player to win the championship in the history of the tournament. Curry was officially announced by the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2024 and was awarded the Charlie Seaford Award to thank Curry for his great contribution to promoting the diversification of golf.

However, Curry missed the Tahoe Lake Celebrity Golf Championship in 2024. He was leading the U.S. men's basketball team to the Paris Olympics and eventually won the Olympic gold medal.

Curry will return to the Lake Tahoe Celebrity Golf Championship this year, and he will also strive for the second championship in the tournament history.

It is worth mentioning that in addition to Curry, the contestants participating this year also include Curry's father Dell Curry and his younger brother Seth Curry. In addition, 90 sports and entertainment stars participated in the same game, including NFL, NBA, MLB Hall of Fame members, active/retired athletes and Hollywood movie stars. The total prize money of the event is US$750,000 (the champion is nearly US$150,000), and some of the proceeds will be donated to local and national non-profit institutions.
