2026 Chinese striker Zhang Boyuan will join Vilitas Academy! Four U19 National Youth Players stay in the United States

On August 27, 2026 Chinese striker Boyuan Zhang officially announced his trip to the United States to develop. He will attend Veritas Academy in California and participate in the Nike EYBL Scholastic League in the 2025-26 season. He will follow the team back to China to participate in Nike events.

Boyuan Zhang

Zhang Boyuan, born in 2007, is 6-8 (2 meters 03), averaged 14.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.1 assists per game in the 2025 U19 Men's Basketball World Cup, averaged 17.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in 27 minutes. He represented China at the Nike Basketball Summit in April this year and has signed a contract to join Shanxi Fenjiu Club.

Boyuan Zhang

Zhang Boyuan was selected for the 2023 U16 Asian Youth Championship. He averaged 20.5 points and 5 rebounds per game in the competition. He ranked second in the scoring list and third in the efficiency list. He shot 52.9% from the field and 47.1% from the three-point shooting percentage. He was also selected for the 2024 U18 Asian Youth Championship. He averaged 17.2 points per game in the competition.

China U19 Men's Basketball

‌In addition to Zhang Boyuan, the Chinese U19 Men's Basketball Team has three other players playing in the United States this summer, including twin brothers Sinan Huan and Steve Sifeng Huan and mixed-blood point guard Jacob Zhu.

Sinan Huan

younger brother Xun Sinan will make an official visit to Pudu University from September 5-7. This summer, the blocking champion of the U19 Men's Basketball World Cup, averaged 11.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5 blocks per game. He is the fourth player in U19 history to average 5 blocks per game. Previously, there were Wenban Yama, Zhou Qi and Yang Hansen, 7-1 (2.16 meters), born in 2007, studied in Georgetown Prep, Maryland, and universities such as Florida, Illinois, Alabama and Creton are recruiting him.

Steve Sifeng Huan

‌Brother forward Xun Sifeng averaged 2.6 points and 2 rebounds per game in 9.6 minutes in the U19 event. He studied in Sandy Spring Friends, Maryland. In February this year, he participated in the NBA basketball borderless global elite training camp held during the San Francisco All-Star Weekend. He has received scholarship invitations from teams such as the University of Maryland, the University of Central Florida.

Jacob Zhu

Mixed-blood point guard Zhu averaged 11.2 points, 4.2 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in the U19 event. He received a scholarship invitation from Colorado State and UMBC in July. This is the first time he has received an invitation since Alabama State in October 2024. He has visited Georgia Tech and Mercer and signed with Curry Brand.

In addition, the 2026th class of players studying in the United States include Chinese insider Wu Tianhao (Howie Wu), Cai Chongxin scholarship players Yang Junxi and Huang Haoxiang. They will graduate from high school in 2026 and then make it to the NCAA stage in the 2026-27 season.
