Djokovic: sinner and Alcaraz are so excellent, but I don t give up

- With four times in the semi-finals of this year's Grand Slam, many players will be satisfied, except for Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. How do you feel about my season and whether I accepted it in the future?

- I lost three in four semi-finals against Alcaraz and Sinner. They are simply excellent, playing at a very high level. Unfortunately, I was exhausted after the second set. I have enough strength to fight and keep up with their pace in two sets. But after that, I had nothing in "fuel tank", and Alcaraz still maintained stability. It was also the feeling when I confront Sinner this year. In the formula, it is really difficult to confront them, especially in the final stage of a Grand Slam.

- So in the future? As I said after the quarterfinals, I tried to prepare the best body possible to maintain the pace as long as possible. But that is not enough. Unfortunately, that's what I cannot control at this stage of my career. I could not do anything more. It will be difficult to overcome challenges like Sinner or Alcaraz in the five -match matches at Grand Slam in the future. I think I have a better chance in the three set format. However, I will not give up the Grand Slam tournament. I will continue to fight, try to reach the final and compete for another title, even though it will be an extremely difficult task.

- How do you comment on the progress of Alcaraz and Sinner? These two players are currently the best players in the world. If you don't improve, there's something wrong, so you have to adapt and change. They have a very good team, the training strategy and the right approach. The results have proven that. There is no doubt that they play better each year and that is expected at their age.

- Your feeling is like losing to sinner in Wimbledon?

- everything is quite simple. I think I explained what happened today, when I couldn't maintain my physical strength. It is true that I am disappointed when I can't maintain my physical strength, but that's what I anticipated, time and age are what you have to accept. I still love the feeling of playing.

- Where did he find the joy that he mentioned from? I had interesting moments, especially in Set Hai with Alcaraz, with the scores and the excitement of the audience. It is one of the main reasons that I continue to play until now. Over the past few years, the affection that I have received from all over the world is really wonderful. Alcaraz is simply better than me in decisive moments. Losing was never fun, but if I lost, I accepted to lose to Alcaraz and Sinner. I know they are playing better than me now. There is only way to recognize that and say "you guys did very well". Almost in every match, there is another problem to be handled. In the end, my energy was exhausted. There was no injury to prevent me from playing today, nothing to complain, simply my physical strength was not enough to confront Carlos.

- Do you have any plans from now on Australia to expand early next year? At this stage of my career, I honestly say that I don't think so far. I have planned to attend the tournament in Athens (ATP 250 in early November), which is sure, but in addition, everything is still a question mark. I did not say that I would skip Grand Slam tournaments, I still want to play in those places next season. Those are different tournaments, the pillar of this sport and are the most important tournaments. But yes, I give myself more opportunities in three set matches, in the tournament lasting a week or in Masters 1000 tournament with holidays between matches. That may be more convenient for me when confronted with Alcaraz and Sinner.
