World Sports: Bernal is open to leaving the club on loan in January, but he is currently unable to play football at Barcelona
On November 8, "World Sports News" published an article talking about the possibility of Bernal leaving the team on loan. In Barcelona's 6-0 victory over Valencia, Bernal returned to the game after suffering a serious knee injury and enjoyed 9 minutes of playing time. In the past two months, the youth training player has only participated in three more games, one minute against Real Oviedo, 11 minutes against Paris Saint-Germain, and 10 minutes against Olympiacos. He has been on the bench in the last three games. Barcelona explained that they are handling their situation with extreme caution and patience and do not want to overuse players after a long recovery. The club emphasized that its situation is different from that of Garvey. Although the latter also missed a year, his return process was more continuous and gradual. After a brief substitute appearance in six games, he returned to the starting lineup. Bernal's recovery trajectory is completely different. After playing in Valencia, he was on the bench against Newcastle and Getafe. After coming on as a substitute against Real Oviedo, he took a rest against Real Sociedad. He then returned against Paris and then missed two consecutive games against Sevilla and Girona. After returning against Olympiacos, he failed to get a chance in three consecutive games. Barcelona will next play an away game against Celta Vigo, which is the final round before the international break. The team then faces eight more games until Christmas. Bernal's frequency of appearances and performance response will determine the possibility of a loan out of the winter window. Although Barcelona have no plans to abandon him as they believe his form will eventually return, Bernal and his team have previously studied loan options and would be open to offers coming in January. Due to insufficient playing time, Bernal has been excluded from the Spanish U21 roster on this international match day.
