Premier League first round: Last minute breakout, Liverpool scored 3 points against Bournemouth

Werpool began their Premier League title defense journey with an exciting 4-2 victory at Anfield in the early morning of August 16.

Liverpool led by two goals in the first 50 minutes of the game and started well, but the opponent equalized the score in the 76th minute. Anne Slott and his disciples performed well in the final minutes of the game, scoring two more goals, thus scoring all three points in the first round, while extending Bournemouth's streak at Anfield to seven games.

Anfield's atmosphere is more touching than ever, accompanied by the passionate performance of You Never Walk Alone, and reminiscences of Diogo Jota and Andre Silva. After a solemn minute of silence, coach Alenho Slott's Premier League champion lineup had four new players debuted and entered the game at a high speed. Mohamed Salah soon had a powerful shot blocked by Dod Petrovic, and then the Egyptian player gave Van Dick a wonderful header, but unfortunately he ran out of the crossbar. In the 12th minute, the first penalty dispute of the season broke out, when Bournemouth player Ekitic came down, Lott was very angry at Marcos Sennesi's obvious handball. This situation could have resulted in the Bournemouth player being sent off with a red card, but the referee awarded the Liverpool player.

Liverpool's strong style of play finally helped them break the deadlock in the 37th minute, Ekitic scored after Alexis Mike Alister's pass, Senesi's touch brought a little luck, and then French player accurately shot Petrovic Ekitic almost scored another goal a few minutes later, which helped Liverpool lead by a narrow margin at the end of the half. Just five minutes into the second half, Ekitic continued to shine, sending an assist for Cody Garkepo. The Dutch forward moved to the middle with courage and calmness and defeated Petrovic to raise the score to 2-0.

Liverpool seemed ready for a goal rain, but Petrovic promptly blocked Alister's skilled shot from the crossbar. Just when Liverpool seemed to have taken control, Antoine Seymen closed the gap for Bournemouth through a powerful offense in the 64th minute. Taylor Adams's wonderful pass to David Brooks on the left wing was converted into a goal by the Garner player, narrowing the score to 1-2.

Semenyo then scored a second goal for Southampton and individual, shocking Anfield. This goal exposed Liverpool's defensive weaknesses throughout the preseason. The forward was allowed to make a breakthrough into the penalty area and shot through Allison's goal in the 76th minute in the gap between Ibrahima Konath and Van Dijk.

Seimen became the first away player to score twice at Anfield since September 2022. However, the defending champion finally won through an unexpected source. Bournemouth coach was shocked by the team's poor defensive performance, Federico Chiesa grabbed a turnover in the penalty area and scored his first Premier League goal before the 88th minute.

On a fantastic game day, the away team's defense puts the home team's forwards facing goalkeeper Polevic. Finally in the fourth minute of stoppage time, Salah easily dribbled in the penalty area and then scored a diagonal shot, bringing Liverpool's fourth goal. This is Salah's 10th goal in the Premier League opening round.
