Leonardo: I never liked being a coach. The teams that win the Champions League are the richest

November 20th: Milan legend and former Paris director Leonardo recently accepted an interview with RMCSport in France. In addition to telling his experience of coaching at Inter Milan after working in Milan for many years, he also talked about his feelings about working in Paris.

"I never liked being a coach. I started (coaching) in Milan because the club was about to be sold. Later, I went to Inter Milan just because I was invited by Moratti."

The Brazilian also recalled the wonderful moment when Paris defeated Inter Milan to win the Champions League: "It was really wonderful. Luis Enrique, as the core figure, passed on a lot of ideas to the players. After so many years, the hard work finally paid off. Don't ignore their efforts in a modern training center. "But I think Motta would be great in Paris: he knows the club, he cares about aesthetics, he loves beautiful football, he loves Paris. I don't see him in the coaching chair (in Paris). A pity. But if you don’t spend money, you can’t win. Look at the clubs that have won the Champions League. For us, the goal at the beginning was not to win the Champions League, but to become competitive immediately.”
