Jonathan Tower: The reversal of Cologne proves the team s top response and the war drug factory wants to break their courage
October 31st at 1:30 a.m. this Sunday, Bayern will have a Bundesliga focus match against Bayer Leverkusen at home. Before the match against his old club, team defender Jonathan Tower was interviewed by Bayern's official website, in which he talked about Wednesday night's victory over Cologne and the challenges he will face against the pharmaceutical company. Bayern defeated Cologne 4-1 on Wednesday night to advance to the 1/8 finals and achieved its 14th victory in the 14th game of the season. After Wednesday's game, Jonathan Tower said: "We are happy for the victory today, and tomorrow we will focus on the next game. This is exactly the quality of this team and what the entire club is practicing at the moment." Although Bayern fell behind for a time during the game, the team still overtook the score through a series of counterattacks. Jonathan Tower said: "Cologne did a great job and with that goal the atmosphere in the whole stadium was ignited. But the way we responded to this situation showed that we are ready for this kind of moment. It didn't take us long to score the goals 1-1 and 2-1. This is me Their top response as a team." Jonatan Tower, who joined this summer, is also one of the main reasons why Bayern has performed so well this season. His central defender combination with Upamecano stabilized Bayern's defense, and the team only conceded 10 goals in the first 14 games of the season. Regarding playing against his old club again this weekend, the defender said: "Of course I still keep in touch with many people in the club." However, compared with last year, Leverkusen has changed significantly. Jonathan Tower said: "It was very difficult for them at the beginning of the season, and now they are slowly regaining their stability." Jonatan Tower predicts that the two sides will have a fierce and confrontational contest: "The weekend will be a very high-level game. They will face us with courage. We will try to defeat their courage, show our way of playing on the court, and win the game."
