Hanzko was named Atletico Madrid s August MVP: I would rather use this trophy to earn more points

Hupu September 13th Atletico Madrid defender Hanzko was awarded the title of Atletico Madrid's best player in August. The Slovakian player who just joined was remarkable at the beginning of this season.

In an interview with club media, he expressed his gratitude to the awards voted by the team fans. "I'm really grateful and surprised at this, and it would be much better to win this award in the first month of my joining Atletico, especially by the fans voted for me, which I'm very cherished and I'm very grateful. But in terms of the results... I'd rather trade this award for more points, it would be much better."

Hanzko admitted that the team had some bad luck in the start of the season, but Atletico Madrid is working to improve: "Especially in the first few games, we were a little bit unlucky in some cases and things were not going the way we wanted. We are redoubled in training and trying to correct some of the issues, and I believe we will soon be a strong team and win the game together. This is the top goal for everyone here. I've played in Europe, but it's clear that the players in Spain are very skilled and everyone wants to start organizing the offense from the backcourt. As a 1st defender, I have to be very focused because there are few easy one-on-one matches and things like that, they always have a good ball in their possession.”

The Slovakian player also talked about the next match against Villarreal: "There will not be easy games in this league, but I also think it depends a lot on ourselves and how we want to fight... If you are lucky, you will be able to see the efforts we have made over the past few months, along with our fans. I am very happy to play at home and I will do everything I can to make sure we win the game".
