Evra: I felt like I played like shit during the Moyes era. This generation of players feels soft.

October 29th Evra was interviewed and talked about Juventus’ current state, Tudor’s dismissal and modern players and other topics.

You have obtained your coaching certificate, but you don’t seem to be planning to return to football?

"I have got my coaching certificate, but I will not return to football. I have another life now. Football allows you to sacrifice everything. This is a selfish choice, but I am a happy person, and I am doing many careers outside of football."

What do you think of Tudor's dismissal?

"I first want to thank the coach for everything he has done. But now, I want to send a message to the players. When a coach is fired, the fault lies with the players and they did not do a good job."

Have you experienced something similar at Manchester United?

"It's only happened once at Manchester United, with David Moyes, and I felt like shit. I hope the players feel the same way now,"

How do you compare the current generation of players to your era?

"We were football players back then. We played for passion, for fun, and to support our families. Now we have the 'short video generation'. Players are very soft."

What are you referring to?

"Athletes are 'brands', they follow fashion, rap. We don't have all these distractions, that's why I don't get angry with them. In my opinion, people who criticize them are wasting their time."

How do you evaluate the level of players in Serie A now?

"Needless to say the level. Among today's Italian players, if you ask me the names of the five championship players, I can only name Donnarumma."

What do you think of Juventus now?

"Juventus has lost its values. Before, Agnelli, Marotta, Nedved and Paratici were always with us."

What is your best memory at Juventus?

"The most beautiful league title I have ever won was in the 2014/15 season. We started very badly that season. After losing to Sassuolo, we had a long talk. At that time, someone wanted to drive Allegri away."

What does it mean to play at Juventus?

"In my time, if the score was still 0-0 after 5 minutes, you would feel the pressure from the whole stadium, even from the children. If you didn't want this pressure, you had to leave. When you play for a club like Juventus, you have to sacrifice everything, even your family."
