Foreign media: If Dumfries cannot return in time, Inter Milan has three people who can replace him in the weekend derby.

November 19th Football-italia reported that if Dumfries fails to recover from the national team injury in time, Inter Milan will have three substitutes in the Milan Derby at the weekend.

After returning from his national team duties early, Dumfries is still an important injury concern for the Nerazzurri. His ankle injury worries the club's medical team, and playing too early may worsen the injury.

According to rumors, Inter Milan is more inclined to let Dumfries rest instead of risking long-term injury aggravation and using other players on the right side of the five-midfield system.

The most popular replacement candidate is Carlos Augusto. Although he is more accustomed to playing on the left or serving as a central defender in a three-centre-back system, his versatile attributes make him the most likely successor.

Other contenders include Darmian, who has just recovered from a muscle injury, and Luis Enrique. The latter just joined Inter Milan from Marseille this summer, but has never been able to adapt. There are already signs that he may be loaned back to the Ligue 1 team in January.
