The Suns cashed Booker and began rebuilding the Phoenix Suns cleared Booker's huge contract and acquired Maxi, a peak All-Star and Grimes' reliable wing, and two first-round draft picks from the Clippers. Instead of doubling their investment in old stars, they turned to young cores with room for growth. Trading Booker can unleash the flexibility to pursue early success. Maxi's contract gives them a cost-control rating. And Grimes brought cheap and reliable shots with a rookie-scale trade. Combined with the draft pick, this means rebuilding around athleticism and youth without hindering future action. They can now establish cap space, assets and young cores for post-2028 instead of pursuing victory alone now.

Philadelphia has won a time-tested scorer Booker, averaging 25.6 points to offset the possible offensive decline after Maxi's transfer. Booker brought calm and stability to their super-team aspirations as Embiid's health has been questioned and George's unstable performance.

Phoenix has acquired Maxi for a cheap price, and the 24-year-old is rising with the intensity of the playoffs, coupled with 3D Grimes and future assets, which is a huge deal return.
