August 29th news Trail Blazers' official blog updated, sharing center Klingen's offseason training updates. In the video, Klingen and a small player were training footwork together. The Trail Blazers' official blog read: "6 feet vs 7 feet, come and practice footwork together with Dagen."

Last season's regular season, Klingen played 67 games in his rookie season, averaging 19.8 minutes per game, scoring 6.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.6 caps, and was selected for the second team of the All-Rookie Team.
