Open the net! Halliburton was warned by the league but would not be fined: he once danced the big egg dance after the accurate kill

On May 9, according to the Associated Press, Pacers star Halliburton did dance the "Big Egg Dance" after completing a three-point winning three-pointer, but he escaped and was only warned by the league and was not fined.

According to people familiar with the matter, Halliburton himself thought the dance celebration would be fined by the league, but the league office only warned him. The person familiar with the matter revealed the news on condition of anonymity as the decision has not been made public.

"I've been waiting for this, I've been waiting, man," said Halliburton after the second game when asked about the celebration and whether he expected the league to come to him. "It was the love at that time, and that moment was right. That's right, man, I've been waiting for it. Even if I have to pay the fine, I'm willing."

However, in the end he only received a warning.

Halliburton was sure he would be fined because the league had previously punished such a celebration move (which was believed to have been introduced to the league by Sam Kassel). Players such as James, Eddie House, Randle, VanVleet and others have been fined for Big Egg Dance, which was recognized by the league as "indecent gestures".

Halliburton made a three-pointer with 1.1 seconds left to help the Pacers finish the reversal while trailing 20 points, defeating their opponent 120-119. Currently, the Pacers lead the East's top seed Cavaliers 2-0 in the series, with Games 3 and 4 set to be held this Saturday and next Monday in Indianapolis.

In the first two games of this series, Halliburton averaged 20.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 8.5 assists per game, shooting 61.5% from the field and 50% from three-point shooting percentage.
