Gross: My assisting move is called "Cruyff Turning", but I m not trying to show off my skills

May 6th In the 32nd round of the Bundesliga, Dortmund defeated Wolfsburg 4-0 at home. Dortmund midfielder Gross talked about his wonderful assists.

In the 59th minute, Gross faced three defensive players on the right side of the penalty area, deceived the opponent with a fake move and made a cross, assisting his teammate Gilasi to score a goal. Gross first said: "In England, people call this action 'Cruyff turn around' because Cruyff often does it."

But Gross also emphasized: "I have been using this action for a long time. I am not to show off my skills, but to give myself an advantage so that I can better create opportunities for my teammates, or choose to shoot by myself."

Gross has assisted nine times in the Bundesliga this season, 7 of which happened after the new coach Kovac took office. Obviously, Kovac's tactics are more suitable for Gross's performance.
