Durant s 3-party trading plan, CBS Sports reporter proposes trading plans for Heat, Suns and Trail Blazers
The battle between the Miami Heat and Kevin Durant is getting stronger and stronger.
While the Heat are still not a favorite for the two-time Finals MVP, Phoenix lowered the offer to create a more realistic opportunity for them.
CBS sports reporter Sam Quein, the Miami Heat proposed a big deal in exchange for Durant, which includes a range of assets from the Portland Trail Blazers and the Heat.
Heat get: Kevin Durant
Suns get: Andrew Wiggins, Robert Williams III, Nikola Jovic, 2030 first-round pick, 2032 first-round pick
Trail Blazers get: Duncan Robinson
"Unless Kyle Weill (probably not), Tyler Heero (almost certainly not) or Bam Adebayo (you were beheaded for tarnishing the Heat culture) can get, then Miami can provide players The lowest value. This means they have to supplement their offer with the highest draft picks. In this deal, we will keep the Heat’s No. 20 picks this year to enhance the depth of the lineup. In exchange, the Suns will receive unprotected picks in 2030 and 2032, when Durant will retire and Adebayo will also be at or near the end of their peak period. "
Some people encourage the Heat to settle down this offseason, but if they can get a superstar, they should go all out. Heat president Pat Riley won't be content with mediocrity, and people still believe he will shine this offseason.
This deal gives the Heat a star player choice in the scoring lineup, which can complement the offensive firepower of Taylor Sheero and Bam Adebayo. Durant can shoot from anywhere on the court, which gives him unlimited range to match his teammates. In return, the Suns gained the solid frontcourt players and draft capital they much needed, while the Portland Trail Blazers gained an outside threat, while the team ranked fifth from the league in three-point shooting percentage last season received an outside threat.
