Andres Greeneidkis, 7-foot-one Greek center
Does anyone still remember Andres Greeneidkis? The 7-foot-one-inch Greek big center, and by the way, there are basically few local Greek players who go to the NBA. Andres Greeneidkis is named Andreas Glyniadakis in English, 7 feet 1 inch (216 cm) tall, playing No. 5 (C center). He was born in Chania, western Crete, Greece in August 1981. At the 2003 NBA Draft, he ranked 29th pick in the second round (58th pick in total, last in the draft, Sun Shan of the 03 Platinum generation. Charlotte Bobcats officially joined the NBA in 2004. Only 29 teams participated in the draft before) was selected by the Detroit Pistons, but he did not immediately log into the NBA, but successively trained in the European League and the NBA Development League. It was not until November 2006 that he signed with the Seattle Supersonics and officially logged into the NBA. After playing in the NBA for less than a season, Greene DeKis has only played for one team in the Seattle Supersonics. He has played in 13 games in his NBA career, starting 4 games, averaging 6.2 minutes per game, scoring 1.3 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.1 assists. Since Greene DeKis was cut in January 2007, he failed to get the chance to play in the playoffs. Although he is a 216 cm tall big center, it is hard to imagine that Andres Greeneidkis has excellent dribbling skills, and has rich offensive skills, can be used for both hook and mid-range, and has outstanding defensive awareness. However, due to his height and weight, his movement speed is relatively slow. Due to his positioning awareness or bounce ability, his rebounding skills and abilities are weak. Although he has a certain ability to support and pass, he has not been shown in the NBA, so that he only scored 1 assist in his NBA career. Due to the small sample size of the game, Andres Greeneidkis has only scored more than 5 points in his NBA career. On December 18, 2006, local time in the United States, in the Seattle Supersonics lost to the Memphis Grizzlies at 126:134 double overtime away game, Andres Greene DeKis started for only 12 minutes, making 4 of 5 shots, scoring his NBA career highest 8 points and 1 rebound. In January 2007, Andres Greeneidkis completely left the NBA after being sacked. Since then, he has played for Italy (2007), Greece (2007-2012, 2016-2020), Kazakhstan (2012-2013), Lithuania (2013-2014), Cyprus (2014), Turkey (2014-2015), Romania (2015), and Swiss League (2015). In 2020, Andres Greeneidkis officially announced his retirement and returned to life to accompany his family.
