American News: The Celtics are listening to Ju Holiday s trade offer after losing the playoffs
According to famous reporter Jake Fischer, the Celtics are hearing a deal about Ju Holiday after being eliminated in the playoffs. Holiday has played for two seasons with the Celtics and has played a key role in the team's struggle to pursue the championship for many years. However, Holiday has been plagued by injuries many times this season and missed 20 games. This season, the lowest since the rookie season in 2009-10, with three-point shooting percentage falling from 42.9% to 35.3%. Given that Boston will face huge financial pressure during the offseason, Holiday's salary in the 2025-26 season is expected to reach $32.4 million, and $34.8 million and $37.2 million respectively in the next two years, making Holiday the most vulnerable asset to them. Despite Holiday's poor performance this season, The Athletic reported last month that "if the Celtics really want to trade Holiday, their reputation as a well-known top defender should attract the interest of several competitive teams." It now seems that Boston is willing to send the 34-year-old away, so he could be one of the big names to transfer this summer, which would be an exciting offseason.
