Traz: Respect Joan Garcia s decision, but I will never join Barcelona

Hupu August 12th Espanyol midfielder Ramon Traz has been a member of this Catalan club since he was born. Now he is realizing his great dream. He is very excited when he thinks that he will step onto the RCDE stadium wearing a blue and white robe.

"I am very much looking forward to the coming of game day, this is a time I have dreamed all my life, and what better way to start the season with a victory with family and fans at home? Now is to prove why I am here, enjoy the game and play football well," he said in an interview.

"My schedule has only one specially marked game, that is against Barcelona. I am looking forward to it." When asked about his opinion on Joan Garcia's transfer to Barcelona, Traz said: "I will never go to Barcelona, it is impossible. Joan Garcia was the best goalkeeper in La Liga. He is very important to the Spaniard. He deserves all the respect, but I can't join the mortal enemy."

From the Espanyol's standpoint, when asked about the signings that have joined the team and the possible new players, Tratz believes that the team needs a defensive midfielder. "The club is looking for players who play back midfielders, and I'm in that position in a special situation because there are no other players available at the time. I've played more forward in the past few years and I feel much more comfortable in the frontcourt. It's a more free position on the court," he explained on the RadioMarca show.

Finally he admitted that he was impressed by the level of two teammates in the locker room. "Pablo Ramon surprised me very much. He was very aggressive when off the ball and was very skilled when he had the ball. As for the youth team players, the one who surprised me the most was Inoho."
