Riyadh wins against Newcastle for striker Visa, Saudi boss fights within himself

Hupu August 8th, the latest report by famous CBS reporter James Benge, Riyadh is ready to compete with Newcastle United for Visa.

It is reported that Saudi Arabia is preparing to match Brentford's offer to the Democratic Republic of Congo international, a move that could bring another setback to Newcastle United's already poor transfer window.

Visa has become one of the main candidates for Newcastle United to strengthen its offense, and Newcastle United missed a range of goals this summer, including the striker's former teammate Brian Mbemo. Brentford rejected a offer of up to $40.3 million, which opened a window for Riyadh's victory in interception.

Given that both clubs are owned by PIF, this will undoubtedly be controversial, as the Saudi Sovereign Wealth Fund acquired a majority stake in Newcastle United in October 2021.

Just over 18 months later, in the consumption boom set off in Saudi Arabia, the fund invested in four of the most important football clubs in the Saudi Super League.

Saharan Super League has no financial restrictions, Riyadh's winning roster has been significantly enhanced, while Newcastle United has been difficult to expand its roster. Although it is not uncommon for Saudi four major clubs to compete for central funds to sign players, it is rare for PIF's professional league clubs to compete with Premier League rivals. Whether Visa will be open to transfer Saudi Arabia as known remains to be seen. Newcastle United can provide the 28-year-old with the Champions League qualification.
