Official: Japan s national team recruits defender Yuki Suga, participating in the warm-up match against Mexico and the United States

September 2nd Japan's national team announced that it would recruit Bremen defender Yuki Suga to participate in the next two national team warm-up matches.

On Monday local time, the Japanese Football Association announced on its official website: "The Japanese national team recruited Bremen defender Yuki Suga to participate in two warm-up matches against Mexico and the United States."

Yuki Suga, 25, joined Southampton in 2024, made 30 appearances in the Premier League last season, scoring 1 goal and assisting 1 time. Sugawara Yuki was loaned to Bremen this summer and has started to compete in a Bundesliga game.

The Japanese national team will play these two warm-up matches in the United States, namely, the match against Mexico at Orlando at 10:00 on September 7 and the match against the United States at 7:30 on September 10. Previously, five Japanese defenders had missed these two games due to injuries, namely Yuki Takai, Hiroki Machida, Kenyo Tomoa, Yoshihiro Ito, and Tomoya Ando.
