Morata: What happened in Milan I never experienced, I felt uncomfortable so I chose to leave

June 4: Morata was interviewed by Milan Sports Daily and talked about the situation in Milan.

Winned three trophys this season, one in Milan and two in Galatasaray...

"I hope we can add another trophy in the UEFA final on Sunday, which would be wonderful. The Spanish legendary generation won the UEFA Cup-World Cup-European Cup, and we can win the UEFA Cup-European Cup, although not exactly the same, it should not be underestimated. Especially the level of the UEFA League has improved a lot, and it is very difficult to win the championship. We will face France in the semi-finals, and they are a strong team."

Review this season

"A lot of things happened, some things became too fast, which was difficult for me to deal with, but in the end I was very satisfied."

So what happened?

"Things are not as bad as they seem or rumored, however, there are things that I have never experienced in my career that I prefer to keep secret. Because I no longer feel comfortable, I chose to leave to avoid becoming a problem."

Milan has performed very badly this season, what's the problem?

"I can't say, sudden changes are never easy. If you play with a certain mentality from the beginning and then suddenly change completely, the results may be good or bad. Maybe the new path chosen at the beginning of the season will take some time to adapt. During the 6 months I spent there, I can tell you a few things: First of all, I never regret joining Milan, and it is an honor to wear Milan jerseys. Secondly, although we are not stable in the league, we do have some wonderful games, we won at the Bernabeu, and we lost for Napoli only because of some small details, and played well in the derby... but they finally decided to change, and I don't have much to say about it."

Are you an experienced player, did you quickly realize the management problems?

"Yes, especially in communication. I try to respect everyone as much as possible, but some things are unacceptable to me. To avoid causing trouble, I chose to leave."

Now there are Tare and Allegri in Milan. Do you have any communication with them?

"No, or, at least, not in their new capacity. Allegri and I contacted often because we had a good relationship. I've seen Tare several times, but only had dinner with friends. I'm happy with them and Milan, they're both top professionals, if Milan chooses them, it means the club wants to get back on track as soon as possible, and I hope they're all going well."

Can you return now?

"Honestly, I don't know. This is the decision they need to make, how to build a very competitive team. We have no connection yet, this is my first time having a full year of loan, to see what will happen, I can only say, I have a great time in Istanbul."

Talking about the 2026 World Cup

"Of course I want to participate in the best form, let's see what will happen in the future."
