Fenway also pledged: 20 million to renovate Liverpool s youth academy

The club has invested nearly £300 million in infrastructure construction, including building a new training center, buying back and refurbishing the old Melwood Women's Stadium, and opening a new club store at Anfield. Last month, The Athletic revealed that Fenway Group had also committed £20 million to refurbish the academy.

Fenway Sports' plan to sell Liverpool from about 300 million pounds in 2010 to more than 4 billion pounds is completely outside the scope of FSG (Fenway Sports Group)'s consideration. Sources close to the owners have stressed that they are planning for the long term and view Liverpool as an integral core asset in their portfolio.

Three years ago, FSG briefly opened up the possibility of a full sale of the club, but ultimately decided to sell a minority stake to Redbird Capital. The deal, valued at between 82 million and 164 million pounds, is equivalent to a 1.9% to 3.8% stake in the club.
