BBC: Los Angeles FC considers hiring Post Koglu as head coach

June 27 BBC reported that the Major League Soccer team Los Angeles FC is considering hiring former Tottenham coach Post Koglu as head coach.

Current Los Angeles FC head coach Steve Cellendolo will leave the club and return to Germany after the end of this season. Postkogel was fired just 16 days after leading Tottenham Hotspurs to beat Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League final, ending Tottenham's 17-year championship drought. Due to poor performance in the domestic league, Tottenham eventually ranked only 17th in the Premier League, with former Brentford coach Thomas Frank being appointed as the new head coach.

The MEF regular season will end in October, and Los Angeles FC is currently ranked sixth in the Western Conference. The top nine teams in each league will make the playoffs. In addition, Postkoglu is also associated with the Saudi professional league Asian champion Jeddah Nationals, which has been coached by German Matthias Yaisler since July 2023.
